Roma-Park Code RPd is a homozygous polled (HP), long, red bull with near perfect confirmation. Plenty of muscle in all the right places. He was imported as an embryo from the famous Ivy stud in Canada by Robert and Marilyn Bulley. His mother was in fact named “Near Perfection” (Ivy Polled Near Perfection by Lucky Me). Had he been given the opportunity he would have cleaned up in the showring, but circumstances at the time prevented it. We are just starting to show his progeny and they are doing well! His EBVs are in the top 5% for gestation length and scrotal, and within the top 10% for calving ease, birth weight and milk. He is a very quiet bull and is passing this trait on to all his calves. And being HP, none of his progeny will have horns. Having quiet polled animals sure saves a lot of time and frustration. He is a fantastic bull to put over heifers. The figures above only tell part of the story….with a couple of hundred calves on the ground, we have never even had to assist a birth, which is an amazing statistic. His calves are soft with good muscle. Semen available.
